i cant see my start menu or icons

Specs: xp home, 512

wen i started my computer up and loged in my account the only account on the computer all io go was a blue screen and didnt see anything else to open program i have to ctrl-alt-delete so i can open them in task manager any help?

Felix, Go to the link below and scroll down to line 195 (right column) and download the "Restore Desktop Icons and Taskbar" .vs file. Save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double
click the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done.

Did you reboot to see that the problem is recurrent or was that just a single incident?
Or was that occurring from every Cold boot and not in reboots?

Felix, I'd try a restart and see if the problem has been corrected. You're one of many lately having this problem. It's probably malware related.

Simply press the keys CTRL - SHIFT - ESC, to get the taskmanager.
In the taskmanager you can go to FILE / NEW TASK.
Now see, what happens.
