I´m having a lot of troubles to install visual studio, when the installation program copy all the files into the hard disk i get an error message, it says "UNABLE TO CREATE AN DCOM USER ACCOUNT" failed to register valec.exe, a won´t let me finish the installation. My PC is a Pentium 4 - 1.4GHz with 384Mb RAM.
I try to install Visual Basic 6 only but i get the same error message.
I don´t what to do and i need to install it quickly because i have a homework to do with visual basic 6.

Summary: Have you tried manually registering them before installing VS6 ? You will probably have to extract the problem files from a CAB file to C:\Windows\System32, then from a Run box type, e.g. regsvr32.exe...
