i have just recentley bought a new pc but the computer settings layout is different to the old one, and i cant seem to find out how to boot it up rom cd rom so i can reformat it to windows xp in my old pc the settings were simple it was quite common it was just a blue page with loads of little squares on it with options in it with this one its just a blue screen with a list of options can you tell me how to get it to start up of cd rom asap thankyou

Go into the bios & make the cd rom the 1st boot .

go to bios... set look for something that detects the hardware of yr pc... should be around there... hope i am right

With the list of options you get...use arrow keys to hilight one of em...usually first or second one...hit enter...you should see listing in there to change boot order...hit (usually esc) to back out of there if it isnt what you want...back to choices..try another choice...just remember to save changes and exit once you do make change (on mine it is f10) On the bottom of screen will show how to navigate around in your bios. You could also check the manufacturers site of your bios if the link above doesn't help.
