I cannot get rid of the pictures or format the SD card of my digital camera. It is a 128 IMPACT card that I bought for $15 with rebates in Best Buy. I have tried Norton Utilities, a format program for Pocket PCs and other. The files disappear temporarily but when I remove the card and put it back on my pc or camera, the files are still there. The camera itself cannot erase the pictures nor can it format the card. Suggestions????

palomo, pure SWAG, do you suppose it's possible the images are retained on temp files and get put back each time? Think I'd clean out the temp files first (disk cleanup)and then install and see.

SD cards have a small switch on them to protect the data from being erased. It that switch set to the locked mode perhaps?
