I am trying to install Service Pack 3 and I am getting error

Is this a fresh installation, meaning you installing from a Windows disc because either A.) You don't have an OS installed, or B.) You do have one installed but intend to basically install over it? If you already have Windows XP installed, say SP2, and are upgrading to SP3, have you tried running the setup file from Safe Mode? If this is a fresh install do you have ACPI enabled in the BIOS?
