hyperterminal & card reader cant connect

Specs: Windows XP
i am using an airid reader by rfideas. am trying to use hyperterminal to establish a connection but it seems to be not working.
been following the configuration manual from www.rfideas.com
when i try to get the card data from inputting commands into hyperterminal, i dont get a response

anyone getting the same problem?

What software application can I use to view the ASCII output card data from a RDR-6081AKF or
Since these readers use a virtual Com port, the pcProx and AIR ID Enroll Configuration Utility for
USB and RS-32 readers can be used to configure your reader, copy and paste the following
path into your web browser and download to your computer.

use it to configure the readers and view the output data. HyperTerminal or ProComm Plus can
