hello!
I've totally messed up my laptop. I don't know what to do.
Internet Exlporer is not working, neither is Windows update. When i try to reinstall IE 7 it tells me to restart my computer in the middle of the installation process.
I've used system restore a lot of times but since today it tells me that the restore is incomplete.
Games are lost, the volume taskbar icon is lost.
I've thought of using Factory Restore.
Please help!

"I've used system restore a lot of times but since today it tells me that the restore is incomplete". If this is the case you may need to change your use habits. You shouldn't need to restore on a regular basis. If multiple problems are occuring it seems to me that the factory restore option would be prudent. Without more information about what led up to this problem I doubt anyone here could speculate on how to correct your problems.

Boot into Safe Mode and uninstall IE 7. If you're still having problems after that, run a System Restore (NOT Factory restore) to a date before you installed IE7.

Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
