Hi, I have restarted my windows system , after restart to my surprise I am unable to launch any website in IE/Firefox, also telnet ,ftp are not working.I booted in Safe mode & to my surprise again I am able to launch websites in browser & ftp,telnet are working fine. What could be the problem. Please help me on this. Thanks in advance.

Did you try normal mode asgain? Booting up in Safe mode will sometimes fix problems.

Do you have an anti-virus program installed? AV programs are notorious for suddenly blocking all Internet communication. If so, try disabling the antivirus program (look for the icon at the taskbar at the bottom right hand corner of the screen). Also look for something like "lockdown firewall", that can also trigger an issue.

Yes , I tried booting to normal mode after safe mode , & I have didabled the antivirus but of no help.
