HSP56 Micromodem Drivers for XP

Why does windows XP keep detecting and install the wrong drivers for my modem. It dectecting a Pctel Platinum v.90 modem and I have a Pctel Micromodem.
When I tried to uninstall the Platinum modem thats whem all hell breaks loose. XP reboots rediculously! ANY SUGGESTION ???????????????
i am looking for driver for HSP56 MicroModem for Win Xp please tell me the website where can i download it Thanks...

You have a problem...same as mine. They do not yet have a compatible driver for xp for the HSP56 but say they will before the end of the year...yeah right! Buy another xp compatible modem (they are cheap)and install with new drivers. But first disable the jumper for the HSP56 on the motherboard.
