Whenever I put a new website into my Internet Explorer address field and press go I get an error message that says my hpgs2wnf Module has encountered an error and must shut down. If I press don't send report it will eventually go to the website I requested but it is very slow. I just got my computer from a shop where they "repaired" the Bagle virus. I have run Norton's Antivirus, Spybot and Adware. I have tried to reinstall Internet Explorer and HP Printer software. I don't have any more ideas. Please help.

Villa,
What you have installed is all the "extras" that come with HP printers. I consider this software to be absolutely useless and it does indeed clutter up your PC. That Module you report is to do with sharing photos direct from your scanner to secure websites using the SHARE-TO-WEB concept, waste of space!! You buy a printer/scanner,, and you print and scan, what more is required? I never install any devices "extras" My advice is to use ADD/REMOVE in Control panel, and REMOVE this software. Your browsing will be much the better for it. For any peripheral I only install the drivers, and even then, I usually allow XP to find it's own from the large database. If XP doesn't find a driver, only then will I use the drivers from the supplied CD, BUT ONLY THE DRIVERS. What's more, most of the CD "bundled" software that comes with printers, cameras and the like are not even the full blown program but so called "LIMITED or SPECIAL EDITIONS" and they can use crappy popups to get you to buy the "FULL PRODUCT" Insidious marketing. Get back with your results...;o)

Safe Computing...;o)

PCFIXINGUY,

Man you are a life saver. It looks like it worked. I took out all the HP software and then reinstalled the printer with just the driver. This is my first time on the site and I will dfinitely use it again and again. Take care and THANKS!
