HELP!!!!!!!!!! I have an officejet t45 "ALL in One" and I updated from Win 2000 to XP. Since I installed XP I have nothing but problems with the printer. I installed the "updated driver" for xp from HP. I uninstalled and reinstalled. It doesn't work. The printer is printing, but everything else doesn't work. After the installation everything works BUT now I'm getting error messages everytime I'm printing and my desktop is all messed up, the icons are giant and I don't know what to do anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I changed settings.........nothing. Also the icon in the tray shows "printer disconnected" but it's printing anyway.Please somebody HELP!!!!

Boot into safemode... (push f8 every 2 seconds when booting, when you get a menu choose safemode) Once in windows Click Start run type "msconfig" click startup uncheck everything (Except systray and explorer (if you see them)) Reboot into normal windows. Does everything still look 'screwy'? IF not again type msconfig in the run box and put a check in then first box. Reboot Does it still look normal? Do this one by one until you see what is interfering with windows. Then leave that box unchecked in msconfig. Good luck. BILL

Hi Bill, thanks for the response......was worth a try! Didn't work. I have HP completely uninstalled, unchecked everything in msconfig (except.....)rebooted, installed the driver I've downloaded from HP.as soon as the install is done "bang" the screen is "screwed up" again. Window opens up "CONFIGURATION IN PROGRESS....... TESTIING COMMUNICATION INTERFACE..... CONSOLLIDATING SPEED DIAL INFORMATION , ETC. I uninstalled HP and everything is back to normal except I can't scan and have manualy operate the fax. What else can I do????????? Am I the only one with a that kind of problem??? Sissy
