HP PSC1210 Printer-Scan to Word

I have an HP PSC1210 All-In-One Printer that does not have the option to scan editable text to MS Word. The only choice is Word Pad. I cannot find where to set it to where it can scan to word...HELP!
check scan document~ settings/setup before scan, was word installed after hp/p/scanner,may not know its installed,
try scanning file,saving,and open later with word, try open/importing scan from word, if plugin exist,

you probably need an OCR program (optical charactor recognition) The one I use came bundled with my scanner. It is called textbridge .. came from omnipage pro.
there are several other OCR progies availabe.

Have you checked MS Office under tools there is an option for document scanning, maybe it will help.
