I recently accidentally deleted a (working) printer installation of a HP PhotoSmart 7660. Each time I attempt installation, I receive numerous errors, of the following type:
G:\Setup\hpzmsi01.exe -m cue -| ENU -f C:\WINDOWS\HPHins01.dat -w 132158
The errors are the same, but the end number changes. I've tried all the typical fixes - downloading new drivers (v5.1), installing from a different CD drive, deleting all temp files, restarting after each step, allowing XP to detect it (or not), unplugging the device (or not) during install, etc.
I do have one other HP P1000 printer installed on the system, and a HP 945 camera, and have even tried uninstalling these items with no luck again with the 7660. They all worked together at one point, but something went wrong. A (useless) HP tech walked me through setting registry permissions, but this didn't work either (those were never messed with by me anyway).
Thanks in advance for help.

Your other printers should not have insluenced your Photosmart. The simplest fix is to do a restore using a point before the accidental deletion, if possible. If you cannot do that try to remove all vestiges of the Photo Smart software and dirvers by going to CPL, add/remove or your files. Make sure you install the software and driver before you plug in the device and let windows find them and do the install. I had this problem with an earlier version of Photosmart and seem to recall that HP cautions that if you connect the device first, inoperability may occur. Good luck! Someone at HP should be able to help if you still have trouble installing.
