HP Pavilion dv5t-1000 Laptop Monitor

Specs: Windows XP Pro SP3
I have installed Win XP Pro with SP3 and with all needed drivers on HP Pavilion dv5t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC. Everything is working properly but the monitor is dark. In the windows Vista there is power management so you could adjust your energy in HP optimized, Power saver or High performance. So I think that the monitor is working in power saver mode and that's why is dark, but I don't know how to fix it. I HAVE THE RIGHT DRIVERS FOR THE GRAPHIC ADAPTER. THE RESOLUTION IS OK, THE COLORS ARE OK. EVERYTHING IS JUST FINE but the monitor is still dark.Even when I plug in to power it's dark. Oh yes i have 4GB of RAM Memory but the XP is showing me 3GB..... never mind. Please help me, pleeease. I need just some software or something. Because the monitor is like mirror. Sorry for my bad english and THANKS

Ooooooo Yesss! Damn right, I did it !!! I must say it's better then before. It's not that hard you just need to find the right Win XP (i got the right one heheheheee )'cause some ver. are not working. And you can find the drivers: Nvidia, sound, wireless what else...everything you need. Patience!

So you successfully installed XP and then some time later the screen went dark?

Do you see any splash screen when starting up from cold?
If not then your problem isn't software.

No man everything is OK like I said. The monitor is dark from the first start, but that's not so bad it's just darker then normal, so if you work at night that's not a problem but if you work on day light it's like mirror. It seems like the monitor works in power saver mode.

Sorry for my English
