well it might be a bit late to try to fix it. You may be forced to reformat and reinstall the operating sytem.

The fact is that there are many issues that will/can cause the errors that you are stating. Most can be repaired simply by uninstalling the application/program and reinstalling it. Unfortunitly we cannot just give you a definate fix when all you choose to give us is a generic problem..

If there is an error....in order to give the correct reply to repair...we need to know exactly what the error message was. Without that exact error message the replies will be just a guess as to what might repair your computer.

when issues as you discribe start compounding my first thought would be that you have a virus as this is what they do...spread..to other programs and just cause general mayhem by shutting down applications so that you can't repair them.

The first option I would try is to make sure that you are running a clean computer...run all your ant-virus...anti-spy ware/malware programs....preferably from within safe mode.

To enter safe mode...toggle the F8 key continuously when you first turn on or reboot your computer till the start page shows up with the various options on how to start your computer. Choose safe mode.

Once in safe mode then run all your applications for cleaning your computer.

Check your memory.

There is a version to create a bootable floppy diskette and/or an ISO for creating a CD.
Run it overnight and any failures are unacceptable.
