Hello. On my computer I have a guest account, my husband's account, my sister's, and my account. When I use my account, there are times that I can use it with out any problems. Then there are days when it freezes up just as I open it, it comes to my desktop and freezes. I have used my husband's account to delete unused files and programs on my computer and account. It still freezes. I learned through Computing.net that It is important not to delete the ntuser files that frequently show up when the computer does a file check after restarting from a freeze. I was looking through my files and I see the back web agent and i do not really understand what it is and I was wondering if it is safe to delete these files. I do not know if it would help with my freezing issue. I need all the advice help i can get. My sister and I are dumbfounded. All the other accounts do not freeze up like my account does. They freeze up if you have to many internet files open or the computer gets really hot. It is only my account that freezes as described. HELP PLEASE!!!!!
Thanks,
Bernice

Stop deleting files Bjharris, the only thing that might do is cause more problems.

Try a System Restore to before this started.

It might even be worth it to create a new account and copy your files to it. You can do this through control panel>user accounts.

Another suggestion would be to check if you have fast user switching enabled. With that turned on, it uses alot more resources like memory. In user accounts, click on change the way users log on and off and you will be able to change the setting there. Reference http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279765 for additional info.

If you want to clean a user account then use the proven utilities that do the job...

spywareblaster...adware preventer

spybot S&D.......adware cleaner

Ccleaner.....adware and registry cleaner

ATF cleaner.....temp and other file history cleaner

WinPatrol...stops the installation and running of unwanted start-up programs and background programs and services.

A google search will provide the links!

The Cause of the Freeze ups is the Intel 810E Chipset and the Intel 810 Graphics Chipset.
I found a solution. This is a known defect on the HP forums.
The Pavilions 8650C/8750c is UNSTABLE when it uses the 667 mhz processor or a processor with a 133Mhz FSB clock speed. It WILL lock up after as little as 10 minutes of Internet (ebay) scrolling.

Replacing the video card will help but does NOT
cure the problem.

REPLACING the processor will make the PC solid
as a rock. Installing a Pentium III processor with a 100 Mhz FSB CURES the instability.

But you must do both of these to fully solve the problem I have done this on about 3 different HP Pavilions with this problem and it solved the freezing up!!

I replace the processor with a Pentium III 1000 mhz processor with a 100 Mhz FSB. Specifically:
1000mhz/256/100/1.65v. That is the largest processor this motherboard will take. There are no jumper seting you will have to change for the new slower 100 FSB processor, because the BIOS will automatically detect it for you!
This is not true on the after market Motherboards the same as the HP ones!
