Hi
Hope someone can help this is an annoying problem.
I have a new HP Optical mouse and when i use the wheel in a browser it moves the page back and forth and i hate it i have to scroll at snails pace to stop it,
I have checked the HP site for drivers or software and there is none. I have looked through the mouse settings in control panel and cant see anything in there to stop this.
Can anyone help??
Cheers

You may not be using the optimal resolution for the web pages you are viewing. If the page doesn't fit fully on the screen the scroll will move side to side. Especially if the full page is in view from the vertical perspective.
Try increasing the display resolution.

I am using a widescreen 19" monitr on a high res, but that isnt the cause as it acts like the back and forward buttons on the browser taking me backwards through pages i have visited etc.

Which browser are you using? It 'might' have options to change the effects of the wheel.

It is the Mouse as I have used a few different Optical Mice on the computer before.
I use IE7 (rarely) and Firefox most of the time, I have never seen any options for the wheel mouse but will have a look tonight when i get home,
Thanks for the replied, this is doing my head in.
cheers
