HP logo screen hangs

Hi,
For two days now i can not get my computer to boot past the OEM logo screen :(. I start it up and get the HP logo as usual, the hard drive activity light flashes for a few seconds and then...nothing. Keep in mind i can not even enter the BIOS or safe mode the computer just hangs...Is this a bad hard drive or dare i say a bad mobo? Any suggestions welcome!
