Printer was printing fine after being installled in Windows XP. Suddenly stopped printing about an hour after HP scanjet 4300C was installed, although it had been printing from the scanner as well as other programs up until that time. Now it's fault light is blinking but no printing. Have checked ink cartridge and paper.

Start with the basics. 1)Reboot the printer/Reboot the computer 2)Check the control panel for any problem devices(you may have to enable "show problem devices" in the view menu). 3)Remove and reinstall the scanner. 4)Remove and reinstall the printer. Jimi_l

You might want to try looking at the bios settings. Change from ECC to ECP or visa versa. It worked for me.
