Access to the properties of the installed printer are no longer allowed. The default settings are the only setting available. Can not change from BW to Color or from Hi Quality to Draft. This had been working just fine for several months. Now, attempts to access 'printing preferences' results in an error window called PRINTERS with a message saying 'operation could not be completed'. Physically hooking the printer up to another computer in the network works fine. Other printers in the MS Work Group network accessed by the PC in question result in the same characters. All printers can be used but the only settings available are the defalt installation settings. The system has the HP DJ 540 printer on the Pentium III PC but only BW Hi Qual Print is available. Got an idea of what could have gone wrong here? I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks Skip
