After years of working fine, suddenly my HP Businessinkjet 1200 shows ink cartridge fault on XP machines but works normally on a Window 7 machine. The printer status says all is OK until one starts to print. It will print cleaning and alignment patterns but not the test page or any other print job. I tried it on an XP netbook and momenarilly it gave an error message associated with a Canon 6500 scanner using the same USB hub. I have tried uninstalling and reinstlling to no avail. How can I completely remove all traces of HP printer to start again.
