Hello,

Let say I've a exe file that a 750MB.
I can't burn into my CD, cuz the limit is 700MB only.

So I want to use Winzip to zip it..."Add to abc.exe to zip" something like that.

However, after zipping, it's still 750MB. Therefore I ask myself if there is a way to break the file in two parts...or divided into 2 separated zip files.

Hope you guys can help me...
thx.

Don't know that you'll be able to easily do it with an exe but you can do it with winzip or winrar to create archives on video files, directories, etc. The easiest way to do it with an exe that i can think of would be to use something like Alcohol CD burner to use a higher form of compression than .zip

Dont know how on Winzip.. Dont use it..

but I will give you instructions on Winrar

Right click on file. "add to archive"
On the general tab. type in the bytes of the files size you want for the "Split into archives"

If you look in the tabs ofg Winzip you should see something similer

Junk Internet Explorer,
Get Firefox! You'll be happy you did.

From WinZip's Helpfile. Really not hard to find! Just press F1!!

"WinZip® makes it easy to create Zip files that “span” multiple disks. This is useful if the files you are working with will not fit on one disk.

To make a Zip file that spans multiple disks, simply create a Zip file on a removable disk, then add files to the Zip as you normally would. If the disk fills during Add operation, you will be prompted for another disk. Simply insert the next disk and click the OK button.
Important: disk spanning is not available when adding files to an existing archive; it is only available while creating a new archive. Also note that you cannot add or remove files from a Zip file that spans disks. WinZip requires pre-formatted disks (you can format disks using My Computer or Windows Explorer).

Example:
To zip the files in your c:\data folder to a Zip file called A:\DATA.ZIP:

1. Start WinZip.
2. Drag and drop the c:\data folder from My Computer or Windows Explorer to the WinZip window.
3. In the Add dialog box, type the filename of the Zip file (A:\DATA.ZIP).
4. Click the Add button.

If more than one disk is needed, you will be prompted for additional disks."
