You can try one of the following:
1.Install the Correct driver if the hardware is a needed one.
2. Disable the Hardware in Device Manager if you don't need it at present.
3. Remove the Device from the System if you don't need it ever.
4.If none of the above applies to your case, post details about the hardware (Make and Model) and the System (Computer make and Model or Motherboard Make and Model) where the hardware is detected.

Would have been nice if you stated the hardware.
This is the only info I have:The New Hardware Wizard May Detect the Printer Device After Every Restart of the Computer

Thankx maadhurimn & Chuck2...!
Let me reframe the question in this way I have customized application built in .net
which install's drivers for various hardware devices connected e.g. modem,Lan,audio etc.. but before i am able to launch the application the User Interface(UI) for New Hardware Dialog Box appears due to which my driver applications Hangs & only proceeds when i reply(Cancel) to the Wizard Therefore i want to suppress only the UI from appearing
so that my program can continue and all drivers are successfully installed.I am working on IBM T40 & M50 machines.
Any ideas in this regard would be of great help.

OK, I think I got it:-)
I can think of only one approach to meet that specific goal:
An Unattended WinXP Pro CD or DVD (depending upon the size of additional software) with a Customized Answer File.

How about disabling PnP in admin tools > services?
M2
If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

Thanx Mechanix
i even tried that The following is what is observed when PnP was enabled.
1. Installation for all the devices took place one after the other.
2. I have noticed few devices failed to get properly installed. Therefore Enabling/Disabling would not be good choice.
