How to split my hard drive better in Windows

Specs: Windows XP, Pentium 4, 1.80GH, 1GB RAM
I reciev a PC with windows XP. The hard drive is split in two C and D. mny problem is the C has 16GB capacity and 14GB is full only have 2GB free space (and this is the part with the windows files), D has 59GB and 54GB. I would like to split in way to give more size for the primary drive.
Sombody can help me? Thanks!

the partition resizer is another useful freeware utility and can be found at:
Make sure it is version 1.3.4 that you download. There are problems with NTFS in version 1.3.3

Also do take note of the suggestion made by wanderer in post #3
