|Perform following steps and check the results:|
1.) Remove all the temporary memoies, cookies, caches., for which you can download and install a utility called CCleaner from internet.
2.) Using the same CCleaner, fix the registry issues.
3.) Your system may consist of huge number of Restore points. Delete the unnecesary restore points. (Start->Programs->Accessories->Systemtools->System Restore)
You can also delete unnecessary Restore Points.
4.) If Your C:/ drive (or operating system in which OS is installed) is appximately full, move some files to other Drive location, which may help you in system performance.
5.) Update your Anti-Virus and Scan your machine. Also scan your machine with Adware, Malware remover, Trojan remover etc..
6.) Perform Disk Cleanup (Start->Accessories->System tools->Disk Cleanup)
7.) Perform Disk Defragmentation (Start->Accessories->System tools->Disk Defragmenter)
8.) Remove the unwanted programs and application from the start up, also uninstall the unwanted programs.
9.) Increase your Virtual Ram (If necessary).
10.) If your system has many number "User accounts", delete which are not in use.
I wish Performing these steps would help you to improve your system performance. Even if it isn't we would need to check weather you are facing this problem after installing particular application, cuz there are few chances that few application may effect your PC.
