How to slow down my processor speed

OS: WIN XP
CPU/Ram: P4 ; 512MB of RAM

I have a 2.53GHz and I need to make it run around 2.0 to run an old game. I've tried CPULower (or something like that) and it didn't work at all...any ideas? Thanks in advance

Don't bother slowing down the processor, get a program like MoSlo.
