I also have two computers runnig perfectly at the same time on the net using a switch. Now I would like to share files between the two of them! How to do that? when u run the home networking wizard it should ask if this computer connects to the internet directly or through another computer or gateway.
u want the first option and from there on it should just be a matter of hitting yes or next as it comes up
have u tried that and gotten an error?
or can u not tsee the other computer on the network?
if the wizard wont do it give some additioal info.
matt

All you need is a serial or parallel cable that you can use to connect the two computers. A printer cable usually works great. Start->All Programs->Accessories->Commumications->Network Connection->click on Create a new connection->Next->Set up an Advanced connection->Accept Incoming Connections->Next->select the cable method that you want; say printer cable->Next->Do Not Allow Virtual Private Connections->Next->in the User Permissions window, select the check boxes next to the users who are allowed to connect to your pc->Next->accept the default selections->Next->Finish. the host pc is now set up. Next, go to the guest computer and repeat these steps- just select the "Connect directly to another computer" option on the first page. Once this is done, you can move files between the computers through the connection. Hope this helps. Bye

they should be able to see each other just fine the way they are hooked up. Just try mattgraham's instructions and all should be well!
Cheers,
William
