Open My Computer, click "Tools" up in the Menu Bar, click "Folder Options..." click the "View" tab, now find and check mark "Show hidden files and folders" click OK.

They way I've always enabled my system to show hidden files and folders is by opening Windows Explorer ! Start button/All programs/ Accessories ,it usally opens minimized in My documents on your toolbar open that up and the chose Tools ,Folder options ,View then scroll down to show hiden files and folders and put a check mark in that box ! Take Care ,Nick
P.S. Its a good idea after you have done this and recieved the info you needed to go backand hide these hidden files and foldrs . If someone was to use your PC ,they may inadvertantly delete a very important folder or file ! IMHO !
