Hi guys, i have a problem scanning a document onto my PC. Well, actually it is not a problem but i am curious in what format should i save the text so that i would be able to edit it afterwards. The text isn't in English, that is the problem, so the question is: is it possible to scan the text document, in a foreign language and then edit it on PC?
Thanks in advance
Myrchik

Unfortunately, i depends on the scanning program you use wheter or not you'll be able to edit it.
What kind of program do you use?
I for example use HP Precisionscan and select editable text and export it to an text editor.
Maybe you'll find such similar function in your program.

Good luck!

What you need is called an OCR - Optical Character Recognition program. You would need one in the language that your file is in. IOW-it won't translate English to French and make it editable. Personally, I haven't had a great deal of success with any I have tried in the past. Wish you the best!
