I have a program called 'Sothink SWF Decompiler'. It's main use is decompiling flash movies, however the latest versions include a new button added to the toolbar in Internet Explorer. This is called 'Sothink SWF Catcher'. It scans the current webpage and gives you the choice of saving all the flash movies on that page. I have tried it on that animation and it works perfectly.

You can download the trial version for free, however I am not sure if this will allow you to save movies (I have the full version).

I can tell you how I did this in W98SE.

First I cleared Temporary Internet Files (TIF) and went to the website.

I then came off line and examined the TIF folder. I found and copied the file why_gps.dir to a spare folder in "Windows Explorer".

The file name then appeared in the folder with a [1] after it, which is quite normal.

I now double clicked my saved version of why_gps[1].dir and got the "Open With" menu. I opted for iexplore.exe (Internet Explorer) and the animation ran. Presumably I could have fixed this association of .dir file extensions with Internet Explorer if I had wished.

I am insufficiently familiar with XP to translate this procedure precisely but presumably with a bit of imagination you should be able to make it work along these lines.

Note that the animation still worked just fine after clearing TIF's and rebooting. No third party program required.
