I am not sure if it is the computer or not, but when I am in safe mode, I cannot run an executable file. My computer freezes during normal startup so I am trying to run the file in safe mode.
It is the SDFix.exe file to help get rid of some annoying worm.
I double click the file, and nothing happens. I tried it on my labtop in normal mode, and it works fine. Please help!

Did you read the instructions for running SDFix in Safe Mode?
I'm guessing not.
Here they are. Read the whole page before you use. Tutorial is included.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

I read these prior to my post.
I could not download SDFix with the bad computer because it freezes in its normal mode. I downloaded it with my laptop. I rebooted the bad cpu in safe mode. I transfered the .exe file from the laptop with a thumb drive. I copied it to the desktop of the bad cpu. I then tried opening it on the bad cpu, and it would not run. I followed the troubleshoot instructions and nothing worked.
I did the same method with another cpu in normal mode and it worked.
That is why I am posting. I don't know how to get this thing to run!

Safe-Mode functions with minimal Drivers.
I doubt that all drives will function, except HDD. I will check that out sometime. You say you transfered the EXE to the Desktop via Safe-Mode. Maybe you should check the file size of the EXE before and after transfer.

ls1pwrd325,
There are some viruses/malware that are shrewd and won't let you run certain anti-virus/maware programs. Try renaming that SDFix.exe file to something else but keep the .exe extension then try to run it.Tufenuf
