how do i repair my windows xp professional. i tried a few sites. i dont understand how to gain access to the setup screen which allows you to repair windows. i tried pressing delete or R at different points but to no avail. please help.

Go to start - run - type in sfc /scannow then click on OK. There is a space between the c and the /. You will need you XP CD if it finds anything wrong with the system files.
