How to remove windows messenger ?

Hi,
I have winxp Professional installed on my system and in xp windows messenger is installed already which has expired now and i m unable to sign in, but now i have installed msn 6.2 and i don't need windows messenger any more.
So i want to know that how can i get rid of win messenger i mean to that how can i remove windows messenger because i don't need it now.
Plz help me !

Goto Control Panel>Administrative tools>Services

Look for messenger, then disable.

Go to Start / Run the paste this "RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove" without the quotes...

I just renamed the folder in C:\Program Files, and it no longer runs. If I ever want to use it, I'll just rename the folder back to the original.

No need to remove, if you update to version Windows Messenger 4.7 you can download the MSN6 plug-in, this saves messing.

M$ support have an article about disabling WM ...............
