Hi Everybody!

I'd like to remove any system tray icons in the notification area. How can I do it? There are some programs that I uninstalled several months ago...

I explored and cleaned up registry, I used cleaning softwares but they're there... untouchable.

Yes, I can "no auto tray notify" by gpedit.msc, but there are some programs I use regularly...in fact, I want to remove them.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!!

Most icons are nothing more than shortcuts to the program. Right clicking on them should allow you to delete them.

I think the OP is referring to system tray icons.

First, check the options of your programs for options such as "Show system tray icon" or similar.

Check Google or your favorite download site for applications that hide system tray icons.

Here are some results I came up with:

If you have icons in the Systray (notification area) for programs that you don't want running, use msconfig and disable them in the 'Startup' tab.

Thanks for all. I used a resource by registry and I deleted all icons I desired. Now there are only I use regularly.
