How to remove QuickLaunch icons from taskbar.

Specs: Windows XP SP3, P4 3GHz/512 MB RAM
The QuickLaunch icons are taking up part of the task-bar so I want to get rid of 'em.

right click on them and hit delete.

So what if they are taking up part of the taskbar. What is the harm in that. You may have the icons set to large. Right click on an empty part of the taskbar and check the use small icons box.

Right click on an empty space of taskbar, select toolbars, click on quick launch to remove checkmark.

I don't know why you would want to get rid of it?

Right click on Start, click Properties, click the Taskbar tab, uncheck the box next to "Show Quick Launch", then click Apply
