Comment: I have recently been infected with this virus in my network, I-worm/vb.gv, as detected by AVG free edition antivirus, i have tried scanning the whole system but not all pcs yet, and have deleted the infected files, how do it check if the virus is already removed completely? this is because it keeps on coming back to the PC and also to the other ones that i have scanned and cleaned, please help, i am running an internet cafe and i cannot find any information on the net regarding this virus. thanks in advance.

Reply: Turn system restore off and restart the computer, enter the safe mode during the restart and run AVG while in it.

Reply: thanks capt., somehow when i try to execute the d.exe or other exe that the worm creates, it leaves eksplorasi and sempalong exe files and starts to deny access to regedit, i managed to download a utility from symantec and was able to restore access to registry, but the infected exe files cannot be used, how can i restore them without having to do a reformat of my hdd? thanks..

Reply: Try this; http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;555067&Product=winxp After you get things fixed, get a really ggod av program like Kaspersky, F-Secure, BitDefender or NOD32. AVG is not supposed to be used for a business.
