How to remove icons in control pann

i recently installed nokia N-Gage software in my Windows Xp home os and as i no longer need it i un-installed it, but the icons remain in the control pannel and the systems tray please tell me how i can remve these icons.

Control Panel apps (icons) use a .CPL file extension.
Icons (programs) in the system tray (notification area) can be disabled from starting with Windows by right clicking the icon and selecting its settings and disable "Start with Windows", or something to that effect.

Did you uninstall the software using the Add/Remove Programs option and then reboot? If so, that information should have been deleted as well.
Do a search on the desktop for the folder name and delete all references to that and the folders.
Then, search the Registry for the same folder and filenames (particularly exe and cpl.)
