Norton Auto Protect keeps detecting risk "Hackdoor.Spammer" have spent a couple of hours reserarching this threat but have yet to find a fix on how to remove this. Any ideas on how to remove/fix this annoying threat. Don't fancy having norton autoprotect popping up all the time.

I am not familiar with Norton Auto Protect but if it is just notifying you that it has blocked the attempted intrusion then configure NAP not to advise you, just let it get on with the job..

Trojans infect computers, but do not infect files. They can simply be identified and deleted. However, they often make registry or startup file changes so that they are executed on boot-up.
The best way to remove these types is to run your anti-virus during safe mode to keep the trojan from starting up.
