Hello. Recently formatted with DELL Windows XP. I want to remove all this DELL Crap. Is there some kind of Brand Remover that I can add to the registry?
Thanks.

LOL!
Can't say I blame you. Unfortunately, the only way (usually) to remove the branded crap is to reformat and start from scratch with another (non-Dell) version of XP.

Well, the thing is I got this Brand Remover file from Sandman that actually worked. I downloaded the file, added to reg,one quick reboot, and all of that Dell crap was gone.
I really hate Dell :)

Hmmm, everyone IS entitled to there own opinion. As far as "hating" Dell for the extra software they put on their computers, well, I could live with out it also. BUT, I cannot think of ONE name-brand home pc manufacturer that doesn't do this. HP, Compac, Packard-Bell and Gateway all do this. From my own personal experience, Dell as a computer company, make as a reliable a pc as any other manufacturer. I always hear that one company is better that another. I do not believe that there is too many companies that actually MAKE the internals that go inside the computers, just different companies that "put" their name on the items and maybe have them "modified" to suit their needs. I own two new Dells, a laptop and a desktop. I also own a 1996 mail-order Pionex pentium II 350 pc. The BEST computer I have ever owned. The only problems with it that I have encountered, were, well, problems I made happen :) True, that on occasion, an individual is going to have something go wrong. It's in the nature of dealing with electronics. In my ventures through life, "most all of the time" a computer problem arrises from the user, NOT from the computer. (please, I'm not attacking yourself personally. I don't even know you). I have recently also heard of others slamming, once again Dell, down for the fact that customers have to mail-order printer cartiges for Dell printers. That should have been a given for them. One can't go to a FORD dealer and expect to buy Maserati parts. Dell has always done business online or mail order. I feel that these individuals were just not being very thorough about their purchase. That's one reason I opted to NOT buy one of Dell's printers. I prefer off-brand to name-brand based on the open-architecture of the no-names. I bought the dells because of price and knowing that the insides were gonna be, for the most part, the same as a new no-name. Yes, Dell printers are renamed Lexmark printers. But, just like one can't put a cannon cartiridge in an HP, one can't put a lexmark in a dell. Same kinda goes for customer support also. Yes, one may have the ocassional "bad" support dealings, maybe the customer support person was having a bad day and they let that out in their dealings with customers. big no-no, but ANYONE deals with customers in large volume is gonna do it eventually. In the whole context of technical support, Dell is hanging neck-n-nack with HP. The only difference I know of between the two, is that Dell's warrany covers IN HOUSE support if they can't devise a solution over the phone. THAT cost a wallet more to get that option with HP. Dell and Hp's service contracts cost about the same when one buys a computer from them. One just has to pay extra with the HP if they want the in house added to their contract.
Anyhow, didn't mean to run off everybody's ear. And the first protin of this is just my opion.

From a the view of someone who uses Dell in his business.
Dell has be the greates investment made where I work. I have had no issues at all with them, support has been helpfull when we needed it.
I would rather buy a Dell any day before a Compaq or HP (one in the same now). We have HP's and Dell's. If you have an issue with the hardware in an HP, you have to replace it with HP Hardware. If you look closly at a MB in a HP, it is thier own MB. These parts are very costly to replace. Dell, easy on the wallet.
