how to reinstall XP without CD

Specs: Windows XP
My PC unable to boot from CD-ROM, how to reinstall XP without CD?I tried to find winnt.exe. and winnt32.exe but there no such files on my computer.Why my XP don't has these files?Is there other way reinstall XP without CD?

if you go to another machine with a working cdrom drive, you can copy the cd contents to a usb stick and then copy them to your hard drive. You can install from there.

Just a note on the subject........

Many (Operating System) files won't show up unless you have Explorer set to show system files. (Tools, Folder Options, View, Hidden Files and Folders. Set it to Show hidden files and folders, and Remove the check marks from Hide protected operating system files.)
