How to reinstall XP on Netbook (no CD drive)?

Specs: Windows xp

My operating system has crashed and will not start in safe mode etc.I have the xp disk to reinstall but no drive to do it.Is it possible to connect to another laptop and use the drive off that one to install, please help.

Some, but not all,10v netbooks have a recovery partition - no
idea why some don't, but try pressing F8 on boot and look for the
Dell recovery option. If it isn't there then your best option is to
see if you can beg/borrow a USB external DVD drive.

Oh, & in answer to your original question, there's no way to piggy-back another laptop's optical drive onto it I'm afraid.
