how to reformat xp without CD

how do u reformat ur c drive without using the XP CD? i never got one but i know there is a way to reformat XP without the CD cause ive done it b4 i just forgotten. someone please help

I don't think you want to format your drive if you don't have the XP CD. Formatting will destroy everything on your drive, including XP, and you don't have the CD to reinstall XP. Then what?

There is no way to format without having a cd. UNLESS you had copied the cd to another partition on your hard drive or and you do not format that partition.
is there a particular reason that you are wanting to reformat the drive?

If you mean reinstall the operating system from another partition (this applies to HP), click on START, click on HP Tools, then click on System Recovery and follow the prompts.

Boot from WIn 98 floppy go to a:/ type format C: this will delete all But you need OS CD to reinstall whatever OS you want

I can not seem to wipe out my hard drive to start over. I need to format my whole drive and I know that will wipe out everything and that is what i need to do. I dont have my xp disk cause it broke in a move but i have other OS to put on it till i get my xp........Please help to get my HD dumped
