You can find the IP address in the windows registy under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\{914D2970-C521-425C-91AA-D6D2854FA5D5}\Parameters\Tcpip\\DhcpIPAddress

where {914D2970-C521-425C-91AA-D6D2854FA5D5} differs from pc to pc.

You can do a registry search for e.g. 192.168.
Depending on your address range, you might use 192.168.1. or whatever.

Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!

How dead is it?
Bad power supply....no hard drive....bad mother board?

You may want to try a 98 boot disk and then make a batch file to get the ip.........but if the machine is totally dead...then you need a crystal ball.
