How to read NTFS from MS-DOS mode

I need flash DVD firmware from real MS-DOS mode. I make a DOS bootup disk from Win XP and startup PC into real MS-DOS mode. Now the problem is the PC have only one partition NTFS C: drive, the DOS mode can not read NTFS C: drive ( firmware file in C: ).
Partition other drive with FAT32 OS ? Which software can do this way partition ? Is there other easy way I can do ?
Summary: I used a win98 startup disk to run msdos. However i could not find my drives because they are NTFS. I downloaded and ran "DOS NTFS" and it emulated the NTFS drives and i could see the drives and files...
