I'm running win XP with IE 7.0 and I have a problem opening pictures. Each time I click to view a picture it will open a new instance of IE instead of just viewing pics in 1 instance of IE. I'm sure this is just a simple setting somewhere, but I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find it. So basically I'm looking for a way to have my pictures just open in 1 instance of IE. Thanks for any help.

I don't use I.E., so I can't help with the setting you would need to change. However, keep in mind that I.E. is primarily intended for use as an internet browser. Its ability to display graphics/images is required for the display of web graphics. While I.E. can be used to view (non-web) graphics/images, this is not its intended function. The Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is a more appropriate choice for what you are doing. Using the right tools for a specific task will be a more efficient use of system resources.

I don't remember about IE7 (used to have it loaded), but it's probably very similar to IE6;
While in IE, click on Tools, Internet Options, Advanced. Under Browsing, put a check mark in the box for; "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".
