I'm going to assume that you could follow the directions for creating a slipstreamed xp cd.

You can't without a XP cd to copy.

LL-See sandmans post below. much easier than the older way. Hello to everyone on Computing.net :) I would like to take this time to share something I have created, it is called SimpleSlipper2. What is it?, you ask. SimpleSlipper2 is a batch file I have written that will create and burn an updated (slipstreamed) Windows Xp Sp1 or Sp2 install disc. SimpleSlipper2 is the smallest slipstreaming utility around and at the sane time is the only one that will burn you're disc for you.

If you do not see the thumbnail click here to view SS2

All you need is a Windows Xp install disc or a copy of the setup files, a service pack (1/1a/2), and a blank cd. Oh and a burner too :) Once you have these things SimpleSlipper2 will perform the following actions for you.

1. Copy the Windows Xp install files onto your harddrive.
2. Extract the service pack files.
3. Slipstream (update) the Windows Xp setup files.
4. Build a slipstreamed disc image (iso) for burning or saving.
5. Burn or save the image created in step 4.

When SS2 has finished you will have a brand new Windows Xp install disc to use next time you need to reinstall Windows.

You can download SS2 here (86k download)

A huge Thank you goes out to Per, for helping me test, and greatly improve SimpleSlipper2. Thanks again Per :)

Good day,
Sandman
