How to make PC show CORRECT Date & Time

March 8, 2011 at 09:57:24
Specs: N/A
Every Boot-up shows this msg:
Press F1 to set the Bios
Press F2 to continue.

On Pressing F2, the PC Boots-up normally but the Date is set to 2002 Sept. 01 and Time is set to 06-00-00.

Except for this the PC works very well.

Motherboard is ASUS : M2N68-AM SE2, OS: WINDOOWS XO-PRO, RAM 2 GB. Replacing the Motherboard Battery and trying out a NEW identical Motherboard did not overcome this problem.

Would appreciate guidance to overcome this problem. Thanks in anticipation.

If a new identical motherboard also fails then you have me stumped. Unless there is some real weird bios reset jumper that is on all the time I can't explain it unless the second board is bad.

Are you saving the changes at the end of the bios by some keystroke or using menu? Use menu to see actual save.
