Subject: How to make a ISO file with Nero 7OS: xpsp2CPU/Ram: 1024Manufacturer/Model: p4 |
Comment: I have Nero 7, and I have a house DVD Recorder that needs a firmware update, it says to CDRom in ISO, I have found in Nero where to burn a Image to disk but where in the world does it explain how to make it a ISO to beginwith? It is just a small file.

Reply: You have no need to create an ISO file if all you want to do is burn a file to CD. It will be created in ISO format automatically when it is written. ISO, or ISO 9660 to give it its full title, is the standard file format for optical drives. An ISO is an image of a CD/DVD. In order to get an ISO image you first have to create the disk to get the image from. You can then extract an ISO image of that disk if you wished to save it for future use. Stuart

Reply: compile your disk and rather than using your hardware cd/dvd burner you choose 'image recorder' from the drop down menu. now click 'burn' and save the image. NERO will now create an image file (ISO or their own format NRG)

Reply: Thanks for the Info. Stuart, it will not work in my DVD home Player if it is not a Image, and it does not automatically burn it that way, otherwise it would have worked and it did not, you have to create a image file first to burn to the CDRom otherewise it just data.

Reply: I made a big mistake, I don't have Version 7 its Version 6, but did figure it out. I wanted to print the Manual out but it looks to be hugh, but your right I think I will, I have it on the computer and still did not see those instructions on how to do it with 6, but I did find information on Google after looking all day at all these sites. Thanks for all the help.

Reply: it's exactly the same with NERO 6, choose the IMAGE RECORDER from the device drop down menu. click BURN and you'll be prompted for name and location to save your ISO.
