When I copy music files to a memory card, I want them to maintain alpahbetical order. Sometimes that works, sometimes not. What is the trick to ensuring they do other than copyuing one file at a time? Thanks.

RobertEL, when a file is added to a Windows folder, it's simply placed in the first available slot. Sometimes that's alphabetical, sometimes not. Click on the folder to designate it, then RIGHTCLICK on the same folder to conjure a menu. One of the options on that menu is to 'sort by', select 'name' and things will rearrange alphabetically. When you 'close' the folder, the new order will be saved. HTH. Ed in Texas.

Ed, thanks for your response. I do that all the time, but I dont think that has an effect on the order that files are copied.
