I recently loaded a film in my PC. The film is divided into 6 '.mpg' files. My question is - How can integrate these 6 .mpg files into 1 or 2 mpg files permanently? Is there any software which could help me attain my objective? Please reply.

it's slow and somewhat clunky, but i've used Windows Movie Maker, import the clips and then export them all patched together as one movie

This might be a little overkill but when I need to put mpgs' together this is what I use. It came as part of a package for making VCD but you can get it as a standalone.
There is tool section where you add files, name and run, it take the files and combines them into one mpg.

Which program did you use to load the film? It evidently broke it up because it thought it was running on a win9X system (2GB limit). Check if there is an option/fix for that. Power VCR has a Registry fix.
